Best polearm??

Hey guys. I just retired for the second time (Yay) and I have decided to try some pure polearm cav. I have brought a smexy looms courser but I have decoded to keep 300K to pay my upkeep. What I want is to know the Best polearm that I can use once I am on foot. Upkeep will not bother me at all. I'm tied between a bec, glaive, war axe, or one of the poleaxes.

Its all personal opinion my advise is buy each one and figure out what you like the most.
My personal favorites are german poleaxe, bec and, war axe but the elegant and normal poleaxe are also really good.

I've been polearmer for a very long time, and hands down, poleaxe is the best. That thrust and length is truly stunning.
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

Second post is correct. I tried most of them and the ones I like:

Iron Staff: Fast, KB, Cheap, but doesn't kill fast enough
Poleax/German Poleax: Pretty high all around damage, somewhat useful secondary modes, long for nonspears, expensive
Bardiche: High cut damage, weak stab

English Bill/Halbred: Long, super useful support weapons [Either anti armor or anti shield], pretty good duelish weapons, weak vs multiple opponents [since no side-strikes], somewhat easy to chamber against

I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

The Long Bardiche is most definitely worth your attention. Extremely economical, especially when considering its hard-hitting nature.
If it kills me, it's OP.

I think for your money the long bardiche (17 difficulty) and the long war axe (15 difficulty) are your best bet.  Don't get me wrong, the 3 poleaxes are nice weapons and have a good balance of pierce and cutting damage (pretty high pierce numbers).  But the speed and length aren't really superior to the ones I like.  You basically just don't use the pierce or blunt of these weapons, and the main cut damage is higher than the poleaxes.

Weapon:  Speed/Length - Damage - Price

Long Bardiche:  89/140 - 18p/45c - 6,934
Long War Axe:  92/120 - 16b/44c - 9,909

Poleaxe: 89/141 - 31p/41c - 14,470
German Poleaxe: 90/131 - 29p/42c - 15,061
Elegant Poleaxe:  92/132 - 26p/39c - 15,634

Personally I think the elegant poleaxe would be the best overall weapon, but not when you factor in the price.  I usually roll around with my long war axe or a red tassel spear when I'm infantry (along with a shield and a 1h).

Bec.

The fact that you need a backup weapon on horseback attests to your style, and to some degree, your level of skill.

Since the chances that you are dismounted are going to be pretty high, means that you'll be going down amid a horde of bloodthirsty, red visioned enemies that are ready to rip you a new one.

The Bec is a high damage, low range weapon that will drop the people closest to your dead-ass-in-waiting, giving you some time to think and assess your dismal situation.

Longer weapons will catch on the swings, and pretty much put you down asap.

I'm against the Glaive because of its speed (or lack thereof). If anything, the Shortened War Spear will be a good choice, given it's obscene speed.

I mean more about using sommin when either i am not mounted, or when  my horse dies say when i am away from a pack of enemies. If i drop ifront of a horde off enemies i really dont care about my weapon tbh. Imma spam and try to find my maties.

All that theory doesn't work ingame as much as you'd think. Testing what suits you better ingame is what you need to do IMO.

Hmm. Tbh although i think that poleaxe has better stats, my fav one seems to be the glaive. It seems quicker than it is said to be, and the exta length definately helps me. Being a glaive troll is fun.
