Thanks to everybody for a great tourney.

This has been a very learning experience for me, and I think I've gotten a better hand on this and will add some extra rules for the next time so nobody feels cheated.

Congratz to the Grey Order for a worthy victory. And thank you to all the guys who gave support (Beau, Worm, Thovex.. The list goes on ), would've been screwed without you.

Grats on the win Greys. Too bad I had serious connection problems, definitely wanted to fight you and the rest of the top teams (I did fight two rounds, but died horribly each time ).

Big thanks for the tournament Ramses and Fallen. Was fun, although a non-loom tournament mode would be great for tournaments such as these.

He was referring to an IRC conversation where cmp actually brought up the idea of adding one to the mod. Here's hoping!

There is one way, which honestly though is rather cumbersome.

stf is already an option. So to honor the fairness of a grand larger tournament, the devs will implement the skip the fun for tournament option, or in short stfft.

Instead of limiting armor or weapons, each char that uses the stfft option cannot gain gold or levels but has a preset amount to buy equipment for.
The name of the stfft will always end of stfft as this is what the char will be created in on the database.

To Guard_Tristan_stfft would be playable....

This way we could limit heirlooms and even out equipment.

However.... somewhat cumbersome...

The point of current tournament is to compare each others skills and hard work. To show how good teamplay your clan have. Its a place where you can fight as a player with some other goal than getting multiplier. Its about prestige of the clans and their members. If you want to make a sport of it then native tournament is the option i guess.

I think the main issue is that the current rules favor clans where several players have the same armour heirloomed. Really, you're going much too far; a cRPG tournament without heirlooms isn't a native tournament, it's a cRPG tournament without heirlooms. The playing field is a bit more even, but all the options for customization are still there.
