The rules state that when a clan applies for the tournament, that clan fights. If the clan cannot field with enough members, its too bad for them.
I allowed a few mercs on different teams yesterday because i couldn't see the big issue. The wolves had a couple of Cotgs, and the templars a few VR guys.
I told these two clans i would for once allow it them, but under the condition that it would never exceed more than 1 or absolute 2 players, and if i saw anyone from their original clan staying out to get a merc from another clan in, they would get instantly banned from the tournament. I do not endorse the idea of mercs.
However, with the Ruconquista the situation was different. Due to the low number of clans showing up (8 out of 11) for the early qualifier, i needed the Rucon. I went to their channel and asked if they were gonna attend or not. I saw 7 guys ready in their channel, and they asked if they could 1 extra guy who wanted to play but couldn't because Mercs were not gonna be attending. Since i had allowed 1 with templars and Wolves, i allowed it here as well. Those 7 guys and Muffin were the ones fighting in the tourney.
This is by far not the first time teams have been made of different clans, but previously this has been announced in good time ahead. This was not the case.
The rules will be slightly modified in comparison to yesterday: Substituting players from other clans or randomers should only be in the most dire of cases. As such, if you have 6 or more clan players online, you're not allowed to field any substitutes from other clans. Only people from your own clan. If you have less than 6 players on your team it is allowed to field substitutes from other clans, but at a maximum of 2 and under the condition your team size does not exceed 6
As such, Ruconquista is only allowed to use players using the Ruconquista_ tag if they have 6 or more players. If they have any less, they may field up to 6 players using subs from other clans, at the maximum of two.
And Ariec and Blueberry Muffin are not members of Ruconquista.
I hope this clears it up.
