Sorry, who made the Euro method the international standard?

The fact that we are awesome.

Also, dont split anyway.Dots and commas are for Idiots.

If you cant be bothered to count the number of digits in the number you are writing, you fail.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

I bet the damn Euro system already existed before America was even discovered. Or at least before the USA declared independence.  :P

And btw. it should be

1.000.000 = one million
1.000.000.000 = one milliard
1.000.000.000.000 = one billion

You Americans are really awkward  :?

This thread is now officially an NA vs EU thread.

Isn't ALL threads on this forum either a NA vs EU thread or a achery whine thread?

I think the admins here think a little too highly of the community.

You think the guy honestly thought I wanted to sell the loom for only 200 gold?

Buncha Einsteins for admins I tell ya.

My goodness, quit being so sour they are only making suggestions. And yes, you should read the forums from time to time as it does help greatly. Perhaps if you did you would realize that items have been reimbursed on several occasions. In any case, hopefully the issue gets resolved.
This community hurts my brains, a lot.

comma's can't be used in csv files (comma separated values).  CSV is a delimited data format that has fields/columns separated by the comma character.

I'm assuming they use a simple CSV (excel) file to keep track of all the marketplace happenings.  You can't use comma's in CSV files or it fucks things up.

Either that or the people who coded it are from a country where 1000's are separated by a period not a comma.  Like 200.000 vs 200,000.

Also, if you quickly glanced at the marketplace you'd see nothing listed there has any commas or periods in the values.  Sucks for you, I'd still try to contact the buyer (but unlikely they will give you back the item).

Next thing you're gonna tell us you're using Access...
One thing that could possibly be the shazam behind the marketplace: a SQL Database - which you could export as a csv ofc

It is, in fact, a flat binary file of a special quality. Commas are ok there!

Also, adding non-numbers to the field is disabled nao, should help all you americanos. After next site patch, that is.

He just screwed up putting his offer on the market yesterday.

Or i'm blind but that would be horrible.

Always has been, the americunts just decided to move to a big island, kill all the people there then create there own fucked up system for everything. Even though it makes no sense..they just want to be special.

You know the first americunts were european right?

LOL...I know excel/csv's are not a database...espu already answered the question, but what I was assuming was that a database could be outputting to a csv that we view on the webpage known as the marketplace.  And I've never heard of someone using an Access database for anything that requires external input or automated input from other applications.  But you can do anything with vbscript so I'm assuming someone's using Access in a production environment.

I'm a techy guy, but not so much when it comes to databases/coding or websites.

is Canada the only country to just put a space between number?

1 000 000 : 1 million
1 000 000 000 : 1 milliard
1 000 000 000 000: 1 billion

etc...

as always Canada have the perfect alternative!

it's way more simple

So the new response to ranged ragers is not "get a shield", it is "learn to chamber ranged nub!"

Too bad that fucks the trade field too. I remember putting +3 items for 1 gold on market. Lucky did the check though  :)

UK uses comma as thousands separator too. It's more a thing between english and non-english speaking countries than the usual EU vs. NA stuff.

I agree, our system is superior.  Spaces make perfect sense, these commas and periods have always confused me (especially when written by messy professors).
