Sorry if this is a dumb question/has been answered elsewhere, but is there a way to change the "main" status - and thus marketplace access - to one of my other characters?
No. You cannot change main to one of your existing alts, even if you delete your main.
Only way to get a new main is:
- delete your main first
- create a new char after you deleted your main
- set your new char as main
