WTF no village defenders?

So basically risen just get a free village. no one bothered to sign up for defence and it quickly turned into a spawn rape. its shit like this that makes strat lame

Yeah wish more people would sign up for the village defenses.  was in one yesterday that we could have probably defended the village if we had even numbers.

And HOLY SHIT we killed 115 defenders during that short time! The battle only lasted a minute or two!

People just get tired of checking the battle screen every day for upcoming neutral battles.

At some point Strategus is going to need some kind of broadcast system.  Ideally, upcoming neutral battles should automatically be listed in the official server MOTDs.  I'm sure something like that could be hooked up fairly easy.  I'll fight for towns all day long, XP or no, but I just can't be bothered to check the battle page every day.

Coming from someone who knows that area pretty well, its generally better to consider the villages castles and the castles villages.  Maras is much easier to take than Istiniar and Reveran.
