Some other program is reading version.txt. If you don't know what program, boot your computer. It could also be that I just plain forgot to close the file when I originally read it in my program, but not sure. I lost the source code anyway recently due to forgetting I even had it.

If I remember correctly though, if you get an error message at version.txt your game is updated properly.

I ended up just deleting cRPG folder and rerunning the unofficial launcher.  It worked!  I have cRPG updated now.  Thanks for the help.

When i start crpg from launcher teamspeak was not working. I must start game by official warband.exe icon. Anybody was have that problem?

Yes, solved by running TS as an administrator (right click).

today I tried to play crpg again after a while... it wasnt working and i m trying to fix since over an hour ... without success.

so my situation now:

I got one steam installation (warband version 1.52) and one non-steam installation (version 1.43).
The crpgLauncher (version 0.6.3) wants to start with the steam-version (which is not working, because 1.52).

How can I set the crpg launcher, that it will use the not-steam version? (the older launcher would ask me which version I want to use, but the newest doesnt).

After the recent crpg patch i cant run crpg on steam anymore!

I deleted the old version i was using after napoleonic wars, and crpg still launched the non steam version.

I tried launching it from desktop, it asked if i was to use non steam or steam versions of the game. I tried both answers several times and it still launched the non steam version.

Now im stuck in a more serius problem. After deleting and downloading the game, everytime crpg launches, it creates another exe of the game(mountblade_old.exe), no matter how many times i delete it, it always creates again.

Please help me run my mount and blade Crpg on steam again!!

Guys, just add the cRPGLauncher as non steam game, worked for me. I can use the shift+tab while launching launcher via steam.

In your steam library, click games (or maybe edit): Add a non steam game, there browse for the cRPGLauncher you are currently using. When you will add this to the library in steam, and launch the game via the launcher in steam, it works.

I did it but I have another problem then.
"Could not find mb_warband.exe or mb_warband_dedicated.exe"
The cRPG launcher is placed in steam>common>M&b folder, and still...

in M&B or in M&B: Warband directory?

I placed it in M&B Warband and after in cRPG>WSE folder. Still same shit. I can't even play

Id say, try uninstalling the mod, just delete the whole cRPG folder. Then, download new launcher, place it to the warband directory and try redownloading the cRPG.

This fixed similar issue for my friend.

No problem, one of my friends actually have to reinstall whole warband AND crpg to be able to play. Him and his brother have two pcs at home and two steams, but neither of them can play due to some fuckup with: Character belongs to someone else. Not even guys on IRC were able to help him...
