How is that? I heard from a reliable source* that there's shield bashing?

Yes there is, at first shield bashing is only used to stagger your foes, but with proper perks you can increase the damage and do a power bash (by holding attack when blocking). There's also a peark that slows down time when someone is doing a power attack while you are blocking, so you have a bigger window to bash him while he's doing the attack, thus cancelling his power strike
It's a handy thing, good versus casters too as you can keep them stunned/cancel their spell just by bashing.
The deflect arrows perk doesn't work very well imo, found arrows that went thru my shield a few times.
