A suggestion to improve the forum and the game

I'm sure Gmods and Game admins are bored of some of the bad apples in the community. Some of them are just flaming but some takes it a little further than this. The thing is these members don't mind to be muted for a week or two they rarely get +100 even if they do some choose to create a double account to have more fun. Usually the second (or more) account gets permabanned but the main account remains unharmed and after the mute they go back to their usual cursing in the game, teamkilling or flaming in the forum.

Obviously the usual warnings or 3 days of bans are not effective enough. How about :

Warning the player then in case of repeating the same (can be traced from moderation log) action forcing to account to pay a fixed fee of 100K or two (or more) part tariff of 50Kx2, 25Kx4 etc.
In case of transferring all the gold to an another account then misbehaving : both accounts will be charged.

I believe this would seriously discourage the players to misbehave and reduce the amount of bad apples in the community. This is a rough idea about the system.

Cheers.

no, too harsh.
Crpg without trolls is...not crpg. :)

I don't think things are that out of hand (yet?). ;)

Tickets for disobeying the server rules? Fuck yeah! Also let successful ban requests of offenders give bounties. If it's a shady looking/disputed, they don't get anything, but for those clear cut cases (like most of mine), there should be some gain for taking the bother to take screens and all (other then the sweet feeling of seeing douchebags banned :D)
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

I would agree with harsher penalties for people acting out of line on the forums.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

People tried to do that to me, and then other people starting quoting my posts much to their dismay.

Also, what if you don't like some prominent troll?

I myself represent almost 3% of all non-spam section posts on this forum.

I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

There are stuff that you cannot ignore. Try being a moderator, I dare you. You'll turn misanthropic in the end. But I believe if people know that they gonna loose something like gold or an heirloom point they'll behave. But its like last resort. You give warn him verbally (written ofc) then you give a warning, ban them and if they still don't get it, make him pay.
