Just Saying, this is not about defending a "girl" on the internet, this is about saying "rape is not funny."

Where I live, it is not just me that says that, it is the whole damned city that agrees with me. Call it a cultural disconnect. Rape is not funny, at least to me or to the folks in my neck of the woods.

DTV as it stands is distasteful, but changing the mode to your "Assault the virgin" is just beyond crass and into the realm of disturbing.

Well you see, where I come from, Sweden, we have learned to accept rape as part of our society.

My girlfriend regularly has fantasies about these kinds of things, and while in a non-accepting society she might have been regarded as a "freak" or a "slut", here she can feel comfortable with her passions.

To fight rape we must not try to remove the word as a concept, but rather the negative emotive connotations associated with it.

I think you're a whiny cunt, Tears. We play a game where we routinely maim, trample, shoot or otherwise kill each other and you make a big stink over some symbolic rape, that we're supposed to defend against anyways. I think the disconnect is in your own mind. Personally I think it's just if not more horrible to see poor underequipped peasants (who can be female) get slaughtered by tincans and knights (who can also be female). I don't think anyone finds civilians getting massacred by soldiers funny irl either. But guess what, it's a fucking game. So we're allowed to laugh about it freely, and we do.
