Onra makes instrumental hip-hop beats. After visiting his grandparents in Vietnam, he brought home a bunch of old (60s-70s I think) era movie reels and sampled them heavily for his albums Chinoiseries and Chinoiseries II.


Both albums are great from start to end. Would highly recommend if you like artists like Flying Lotus, Prefuse 73, or RJD2.

I adore Kate Bush. There's simply no one like her. She has never been afraid to experiment, and The Dreaming is probably her most bizarre and experimental album.

The new St. Vincent album is out as of yesterday.
The message is interesting. Pretty minimalist pop. It's done well, but I'm not sure if it's my thing.
Maybe I just haven't listened to it enough yet.
