Fair enough, I mistook your post for coming off as one of those "IF IT AINT METAL IT AINT MUSIC" posts. Take your -1 back, cheers! P.S. we miss you in chaos TS!
Clutch is awesome, but not metal. While some "heavy" bands are very trite and play with a severe lack of even fundamental musicianship and instrumental mastery, they still possess some modicum of talent and musical skill unlike what I was bashing on in the previous post. Also if any band hails in a genre with "core" somewhere in the name, that isn't original hardcore, chances are they are the drivel you're referring to.Anyways: Talent - Example - Chris Broderick - Most notable band - Nevermore (with Jeff Loomis, another metal god) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xohcxxt6oHo&feature=related - For his next trick he divides by zero.*Edit: For the hell of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSchoITeht0&feature=related. Real Metal = Modern Classical*
I wasn't sure if it was, but it's really loud and bassy to me, so I figured maybe it was, lol. I actually think you might like one of my favourties, Rodrigo y Gabriela.
This community hurts my brains, a lot.
FUCK YES.
Also I like 90's Grunge and Rock more, bands like Helmet, Soundgarden, RATM and so on. Also someone mentioned Clutch. They. Kick. Ass.Stoner Rock was the first rock genre to me, I like that the most. Good desert riffs, never fail to deliver the message.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc-7FXzbeA0
