I suggest the other way, make all weapons longer than flamburger unsheathable.

Black wind is correct.

The flamberge has taken many "balance" nerfs. If you are paying for the most costly weapon you expect a reward. You do not get that reward with the flamberge.

Unbalanced makes very little difference anyway, only on overheads does it cause real issues and with all that reach who cares. You should easily be able to stay at an effective safe range unless faced by a superior player or counter build.

This topic is long overdue.
PK is back

PK is a collection of elites from throughout modern and ancient history. Giants of Calradia individually, as a group these gods of combat shatter all expectations and ascend to a higher plain of victory that only a few have seen before.

the weapon reach (not statistical length!!!) of the flameberg as it stands makes it the second longest swing weapon in this game second only to the peasant scythe

-1 for shameless lobbying

your dumb

"its real length is different"

Can this not be said for every weapon, dont give me that shit. The flamberge needs an edge, "Shameless lobbying" from a guy who has a ninja build without enough str to use a berge why? sounds doubtful.

hmmmm maybe ill ninja edit... this once

.. or no

flameberg is the second longest swingable weapon
only twohander that can rear horses
most slash damage in the game
an alternative thrust animation as opposed to the sometimes annoying two hand thrust animation

its however is not a weapon that...

should be employed with a shield
should be employed with any ranged
should definely not be sheathable for aesthetic reasons (the weapon is almost as long as the human body for christ sakes)

it has a well defined niche for two handers who want to dabble in a supportive melee role

For starters, any two-handed weapon with The ability to half-sword can rear a horse. Secondly, it's reach is completely raped by a greatswords thrust (e.g. Danish Greatsword thrust = 124+80) which totals 204 reach. The Flamberge doesn't come close, as it has the polearm thrust animation. As for your argument about "aesthetic reasons", look into sheathable polearmery. Flamberge reach = 152; unsheathable. Long Hafted Blade reach = 153 sheathable, Glaive reach = 160 and it's sheathable, Great Long Bardiche reach = 155, sheathable. The list goes on, and my point is; all these polearms are longer than the Flamberge, and yet, can be sheathed. This makes no sense in my books.

You are right, but all those weapons should be unsheathable too.

i think an "realism" aspect would be that the flamberge is made completely from steel (or main part) and polearms have an long shaft made from wood so look exept the GLB all "long" poleaxe/arms got 2.5-3.0 weight while the flameberge got an weight of 4 so people could`nt carry long times such an fat weapon on their back
