hmmmm maybe ill ninja edit... this once
.. or no
flameberg is the second longest swingable weapon
only twohander that can rear horses
most slash damage in the game
an alternative thrust animation as opposed to the sometimes annoying two hand thrust animation
its however is not a weapon that...
should be employed with a shield
should be employed with any ranged
should definely not be sheathable for aesthetic reasons (the weapon is almost as long as the human body for christ sakes)
it has a well defined niche for two handers who want to dabble in a supportive melee role
For starters, any two-handed weapon with The ability to half-sword can rear a horse. Secondly, it's reach is completely raped by a greatswords thrust (e.g. Danish Greatsword thrust = 124+80) which totals
204 reach. The Flamberge doesn't come close, as it has the polearm thrust animation. As for your argument about "aesthetic reasons", look into sheathable polearmery. Flamberge reach = 152;
unsheathable. Long Hafted Blade reach = 153
sheathable, Glaive reach = 160 and it's
sheathable, Great Long Bardiche reach = 155,
sheathable. The list goes on, and my point is; all these polearms are
longer than the Flamberge, and yet, can be sheathed. This makes no sense in my books.
