Anyway, the least-noobiest class is for me a spear and shield with throwing and the moment you lose the shield you drop the spear and fight with throwing in melee mode! THAT is hardcore! Also full thrower, rocks only. If you rage at them, then you've got issues!

And now that I think about it, throwing cavalry is pretty badass too. Not eazymodez like most of the builds out there.

I miss the times of 2h and throwing lances ^^

I would say for the builds, that 24/18 will be a better 2h build for pure 2h,
but 18/24 is not bad for a crossbow build

Just remember Lennu that when we get to sieges in Strategus, anything that is pure 2h/polearm without a decent shield skill is going to be frustrating when you get pew pewed over and over and over again, not that shields + skill make you invincible, but you know what I'm saying. If you can deal with that then I say go for it. The first couple of builds look nicest to me.

The xbow build is like my xbow alts ( except he is level 30 ) and I just use a Mace ( 2h one ) Arbalest and a quiver of steel bolts, works really nice.

Lvl 2 shields suck and you're still dead with them. You should rather get that 1 point of IF to 3rd point in shield skill.

Are you saying that I should get better shield, or does the shield skill matter that much?
Better shields cost moneeh, and I'm trying to get balanced gear that would allow me to both be effective and still earn money.

I haven't had any trouble with a lack of shield skill in battle or strategus. My only experiences with a back up shield have been bad, as I have elaborated upon in an earlier post:

No, just no. First of all, it costs points, now that would be worth it if a shield would be effective. As a 2h meleer with a shield you will have to put the shield away to fight, which is 80% of the time, after the initial run to the fray.

When youre not fighting missiles are pretty easy to dodge anyway, just spasm with your mouse. I mostly get hit while fighting, when I would have holstered my shield.

Also you can get caught off guard with your shield out at close range, which will grant the enemy a hit when you switch.

Overall a shield for arrows as a 2h is detrimental to your performance. Being a 1h shielder is just plainly boring.

And what kind of sword reccomendations. Danish&German are expensive and too mainstream. I'm considering Sword of War.
