Question for Cav Build! Need help

I have a question for cav build. Can you help me what is better 21/21 or 18/24 build? The main question is that if i have 8 riding instead 7 there are any differenses? And are there reasons to make 8 riding??? (Sorry for bad english)

Neither in my opinion. 18/18, 21/15 or 15/21 are good cav builds.

Going 21/21 or 18/24 for a level 30 build requires a whopping 14 (!) skill points to be converted to attribute points, leaving you with too few points to make a proper build.

Take it from someone who has played cav for 13 generations. A good cavalry man needs to max out his athletics for when he is on foot. You will get dismounted. A lot. Also, many maps not suitable for cavalry and you will need to go on foot.

If you really must go for a cav build with many converted skill points AND you do not think a shield is worth it, go 21/18 or 18/21 and max out power strike and athletics and put the rest in riding and weapon mastery.

It is much more fun to be able to play good cav and be able to fight back when on foot.

13 generations sounds cool but i want to make real horseman giving points only for PS, WM and riding, that build you said its a cav/melee hybrid......for what athletic need? One athletic point increase speed for 5% so you can be faster that others with 0 athletic but wearing light tunics and etc. So what do you think is my build stupid?

Just saying one point in power strike or one point in riding extra is not worth sacrificing all your athletics.

If you are not going shield, this would work:
Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

    Strength: 21
    Agility: 18

    Skills to attributes: 8

    Power Strike: 7
    Athletics: 6
    Riding: 6
    Weapon Master: 4

Or this, if you want to go all the way to level 31+ and want riding 7 (so you can use the Arabian Warhorse):
Level 31 (8 892 403 xp)

    Strength: 18
    Agility: 21

    Skills to attributes: 6

    Power Strike: 6
    Athletics: 6
    Riding: 7
    Weapon Master: 7

Last build is good but i dont need 6 ahtl ! Im poor cav man so i always wear cheap equipment and move fast enough.

8 riding you would have to be a lolracecar lancer.  Ride a courser on flat maps only and couch lance people

If you plan on not having athletics or dismounting even in city maps than you're only option is to use an armoured horse. Then you'll find you need heavy armour as you're getting shot off your elephant.

So, unless you have huge gold reserves, plan on fighting on foot.

yes, riding increases top speed, acceleration and turning rate.  so a courser with 8 riding is like a rocketship.  you'll have so much speed bonus that a couch will 1shot anyone and your horse bumps HURT

Please read the replies instead of asking the same questions over and over again.

If you're so hellbent on going 18/24 and sacrifice all your utility in the process, just do it and stop asking about it until someone agrees with you.

I don't want to be mean, but the best cav builds have been posted allready by people having A LOT of experience as cav players.

I like 18/24 as a cavalry build, it used to be my standard one for 3 gens, but you are very weak so you might wanna use above average armour for cavalry.

Although I do ride a Champion Cataphract so I don't get dismounted often.

What are you thinking about 24/18 cav build with 8PS?

Useless, go to PS8, 7 is enough for cav, in 1h, i can OS most of people in battle (i have 6) if he dont have to much IF or plate armor. The most important thing for play cav it s not have or not to have 8 riding or 8 ps, but choose the good target and learn when u can rush or not.

Go with a classic build for learn and after 1 gen you will choose your proper build and you will see what you prefer.
