Pandarians were NOT a part of lore but then a Panda hero added with frozen throne expansion  to further increase far asian interest in warcraft universe as blizzard was developing WoW meanwhile.
Another thing about lore is that blizzard uses what i call 'IN FACT' tactic for its games. When they face an obstacle in lore or when they want to add something to past lore they simply add 'IN FACT ELVES WERE EXILED FROM KALIMDOR'  or 'IN FACT ORCS WERE NOT EVIL THEY WERE JUST TRICKED BY DEMONS BLA BLA'  So Pandarians don't belong to orginal warcraft lore. They belong to asian market interest.
As they say :
Lore is overrated
Money is NOT!  :D

Uh wrong.

Pandarens have been apart of warcraft lore since War3.  Along with being in war 3 they also make appearances in some of the novels, comics, and even all the way back to vanilla horde questing there are pandaren references.

As for the blizz hate for WOTLK, i dunno i liked the story and wasnt a big raider so i enjoyed the content.  As for cata I haven't really played much, just pvp, but my team kinda died out due to RL stuff toward the end of the first season so we were only around 2100

Frozen throne = war3 expansion already. I think you read Frozen throne as WOTLK
Books etc published to make more money anyway. I don't need to repeat my above post.

Warcraft 1: Orcs vs humans.
Warcraft 2: Orcs and friends vs humans and friends.
Warcraft 3: More orcs and undead and humans and I don't even remember and they're all trying to kill each other.
Warcraft MMORPG:

Sudden.
Outbreak.
Of.
Peace.
Double-u.
Tee.
Eff.

I mean really, here you have a franchise based on war and when you make it into an MMORPG, you leave out the war.

Star Wars Galaxies did the same damn thing.  There was no Star War.  It was Big Game Hunter: Tatooine Edition!  You killed banthas and a bunch of critters you've never heard of because there was no war!

What's the Starcraft MMORPG going to be?  Big outbreak of peace between the Zerg, Protoss and Humans?  They all going to be lovey-dovey too?

Pah.  I hate the whole MMORPG genre.  What an epic waste.  If Blizzard had spent half of much on PvP and war that they spend on PvE and dancing animations, I think WOW would have taken over the entire gaming market.  As it is, if you want good online head to head gameplay, you basically go buy a console.  Or cRPG, natch.
Crush your enemies; see them driven before you; hear the lamentations of their women.

im gonna try it.

It's been a while but i started it again. First thing i noticed, it's really easy to get item/gear compared to Vanilla/TBC. I've never played PvE so i have no idea about that part. PvP is still fun. The only problem is hybrid classes are a bit op for now. Playing with a pure dps class is more painfull than the old days. For example; rogue and feral druid. F.druid can make the same amount of damage like a rogue and heal himself. For arena it's changed a lot. Rated battleground is a whole new thing for me and i really like it. The only bad part is  too many people trying to sell boost with ingame money or real money. They even made a site for it. I'll keep playing it for a couple of month.

Quite some with regular prices but I think they always have previous expansions on sale so it isn't overly expensive to buy it.

not that im gonna go buy it lol ive played my fair bit of WoW (for 5-6 years :x) first 3 years was awesome, then the next 2 were so-so and the last year was destroyed by kiddi invasion.

but ive always thought that blizz is perhaps the most greedy company out there
