If we get robbed by bandits in your free trade area, do we get a refund, or a compensation ?

All merchants needs to have some backup documents in case he meets unexpected bad circumstances.

That would be silly to demand from them. Maybe you get a percentage of the loot when/if they catch the guy (DRZ should keep some as a bounty/tax for having to track them down).

Or maybe someone could make a bank/insurance company for the DRZ lands? Maybe DRZ themselves or a third party?

And if you get robbed, post a bounty on them and I'm sure many will try to go for them!

No we don't give compensation or any guarantees.
All we do is allow to send caravans, not to fear us attacking u, try keep area clean of bandits. If we see bandints attacking caravans we will try/will attack those bandits and put them on our black list.

If you don't feel safe trading in our area you can try your luck somewhere else. But so far we didn't have any accidents. And a lot of caravans passing through our area every day.

However we will change fee in all our fiefs to 100 tax (don't confuse it with sales tax that we didn't change). If we get any free unoccupied villages at the end, we will allow production of goods there to everyone for low Fee. But at the moment we need to work out our own production and trade.

I think free trade should be enough for you guys compensation is a bit too much to ask, especially if we don't care if u trade with us or not

Or do as I said. They pay a weekly X gold as insurance. If they get robbed you give them Y amount of gold (X<Y) to get started again. Considering all the people who DON'T get attacked you will earn gold in the long run. Also if they are attacked outside your safe zone, it's not their problem.
