Making a crossbowman/woman, WPF in all xbow or also 2Her?

Originally I was going to make a dedicated sniper, but am not really sure now that I think of it.

I only want enough strength to use an Arbalest, so likely 15.

However... For AGI I was thinking I want a lot of WM, but should I put it in all crossbow and use a melee weapon with only Powerstrike and 1 WPF, or actually sink some into it?

Give me your expert thoughts! I have not played a crossbowman since March and April, so give me your expert advice please!

I was going to use this but it seems a little "off" for me.

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Hate to answer like this but.... it depends on what you like to do on battlefields. I have been playing several xbow / 2h hybrids, just like one you have there posted as well. There's not too big difference after 140 wpf in xbow how accurately you can shoot in my opinion (well after they nerfed arbalest accuracy...). I like to take around 100-120 in melee weapon skill and rest in xbows. IF is always good place to invest extra points.

So... looks good to me. Can easily kill bunch of people in melee as well with that ath.

15/24 is best xbow build, 2if 5ps 8 ath and 8 wm, but you shoud better spend all wpf into xbow, so with lvl 30 you will have 172 wpf, good sniping start with 160 wpf until that it is shit, because you will miss alot from big distanse, and even at mid distance, and because arbalest has super slow reload , if you miss it is critical. With some mace and 1 melee wpf people cant outswing you anyway). btw I prefer 172 wpf with low gear(less then 7 weight) if you go medium armor accurasy will be like with 160 wpf and run speed like with 7 ath.

shooting at people from a reachable place as last man standing is not delaying. Even if you're on the other side of the map.

If you want to be a full dedicated xbowman, you have to be like this. You gonna suck on melee, and you gonna run like a chicken, but on mid/long distance you gonna rock on. Light gear, wooden stick, arbalest + 2 steel bolts and good to go. You gonna be rich also with this gear trolololololo.

Oh you are agor bastard, that's why you have 8 ath and cheap gear, to run like a fool after you shoot trololololo
And most of the times 1 shoot is enough with this build.

wpf and ps dont give you + to the dmg so with 15/24 you have same dmg as with 15/27, and we have so much loomed players so even many archers need 2 shoots if not in close range, and i was 2 gen 15/27 believe me 15/24 with 5 ps is much better.

ToD, that's pretty much the build I'm running atm, and at lvl 29 with 15/23, it's been pretty damn fun and effective. I'm sure the MW arbalest helps, too :P.

I think the biggest thing that helps with being a Crossbowman is the same thing that helps with Any class.... The buddy system. Your shortcoming will be in melee, so stick with someone who focused in melee. There was a case where Relit (A pikeman) and myself kicked the shit out of the opposing team because he'd rear horses, and I'd shoot their riders, or I'd get the attention of foot soldiers, and relit would poke them, and I'd switch to my 1h and we'd just juggle the shit out of them, or he'd Cover me while I reloaded, and we'd just have each other's back. It was extremely effective, and extremely fun.

Otherwise, just make sure your Manual blocking is up to par, reload whenever you have the chance, and just play like you're an Archer with a hella-slow rate of fire, but better melee capabilities (depending on what your archer build is).

So I decided to come onto the Beginner's H&G section and I see this Agor guy giving horrible Info left and right... WPF AND PS give you + Damage those are the main damage factors, PS more so than WPF, what do you think Power Strike does? "hint hint it gives more power to your strikes aka GIVES YOU MORE DAMAGE". please please agor for the love of these new players stop posting. Just. Stop. Posting...

15/24 is a great build, especially if you're going arbalest. 5ps is enough to kill anything.

If you're not using arbalest but another xbow, you can pretty much go with any build as long as you have 120-130 xbow wpf.

15/27 at 30 gives you the most WPP, for sure, but it will still gimp you in every other way, so no. It's not worth the trade off of having 0 melee capability.
ToD never specified level, I posted what I think is the best build. Think of it as an reference.

Having 80-100 wpp in melee is worth over having 10 less wpp  in xbows at 160 (estimate). You can use less WPP if you use 1h and light gear.
