I just noticed how bad I am, I suck at this game. Ripper stop being so nice. I do backpeddle but that's how I duel. Some people are good at chambering and others blocking. We all got at least 1 thing we are good at. Also nodachi isn't a dueling weapon, it is limited.

I'm not sure if RipperX's estimation of skill ranking is correct, but I'm not that impressed if these are some of the best guys.

There are a few NA duelists who have really fun dueling styles (Ryden, Cyranule, and a few others come to mind). I just find focusing on blocking and cautious footwork (with the occasional chamber) to be the most effective (if boring) style.

The downside to this is that duels between similarly cautious players usually last for well over a minute, with the winner being the person who stays patient the longest.

Im not impressed with the skill level on na, i rly do not hope that is some of your best players. And yeah ur playing styles is very simple, block and hit and a little bit of footwork, but not much. U dont rly do any tricks :/.

It's better to let the other guy do the dancing and feinting. That makes him more likely to make a mistake. So long as you are careful, you can just block everything your opponent throws at you (feints aren't terribly effective at medium speed), and you can use the inevitable mistakes people make when playing risky to wear him down over time.

He is also more likely to hit u, because of the tricks and the feints. ( dont rly wanna explain this more detailed) And keeping distance ? so u mean backpedle 24/7 ? lol

There is literally nothing you can do at medium speed that will reliably let you hit somebody who is focused on blocking. The animations are just too slow.
