Don't create a list, what use is a list if half of them can't show up at the actual date of the battle. If you want drama try to make a list of best players. Let people signup for a specific date and time and let some council pick the best out of those.

Get a few veterans and experienced teamplayers from a variety of clans and they will be able to pick the cream of the crop.

Do three rounds on the NA server, then switch to EU and do three rounds. If either teams gets a majority of the victories they win. Casualties should be counted after every round so that if both teams win their three rounds the team that suffered the least casualties in total wins.

That should be a fair solution and not at all hard to carry out.

For the selection of the players, it won't be the absolute top 60, cause you will never get them all together at the same time. Just pick a date, let people sign up. Put a council together for each team that picks the best out of the sign ups. Join ts, play and let EU celebrate their victory. It's really not all that hard.

My only concern is the timezone difference, one team is going to get majorly fucked over because they have less players available due to shitty time. Thats why I suggest putting the battle on the NA server on EU primetime, and putting the EU battle on NA primetime. So that the better selection of players goes to the team with shitty ping. Alternatively you could also find a time thats equally shit for both teams and do the matches back to back.

A variation on this could be that on the first Sunday of every month we hold an NAvsEU day.  The day alternates between NA and EU servers and each day consists of 1 round on 3 different maps.  The maps will be announced beforehand so teams can plan and there should be 1 city map, 1 open Cav map and 1 village/ruins map.  This way the organiser only has to worry about 1 server at a time.  Scores can be tracked a put on to an overall leader board

As for picking the teams, the simple way to do that is via Generals.  Anybody who wants to be a general puts their name forward, stating whether they are NA or EU.  All names then go into a single vote and the top 3 people from each side become the official Generals.  It is a single vote so that people can either choose to vote a good general in for themselves or vote a bad general in for the opposition.  They cannot do both.  The generals then take it in turns to lead and when it is their turn they have absolute control over who is in their team.
