xbowman after lvl 30

so i stop retiring and now i have question what to choose:

i can go 15/27 so at lvl 32 i can have 5 ps 9 wm and 9 ath, then later at more lvl make some if

or i can stay 15/24 with 5ps 8ath and 8 wm, but i can have 5if at lvl 31, then i can take some riding, with horse i can take some point fast at start or run with empty horse somewhere to reload, or even find lance and kill some1?

so what you think is better choise?

Since my primary sidearm was a 1hand, when I went to 31 and then to 32 I used the extra points staying 15/24 on shield up to 4 for strat then some IF. Really added versatility. Even with 0 prof I could get mad hoplite assists using a heavy lance w/ shield. Realistically a lot of battles aren't always going to have a ton of crossbows.

i think same - 8ath is enough for runing and with 8 wm(172 wpf at lvl 30) you can snipe very well, i think about some situations when you can make somethink different like riding or even 2 points in shield lol)

btw mounted xbowman need horse archery?

I agree on staying 15/24 as we dont get more damage anyway and the aim is fine with 8 wm.

Not sure about shield skillpoints though but IF for sure. Maybe 1 point in shield.

I dont see any reason for wasting 3+ on riding though

I played xbower with some horse variety in past and it was quite fun. You can fire arbalest from horseback, but need to dismount for reloading. 1h would work well with shield... I would pick 3 riding and 3 shield instead just 6 riding. Or forget about shield and take 3 horse archery and 3 riding for some fun. Unless you just want heavy horse for stationary sniping ofc. If its your final build, its good to have more things to do than just shoot around same old way.

My final build will be xbow / horse hybrid as well.

you shoud not shoot with arbalest from horseback it is not allowed)) btw if i can reach lvl 34 there i can take shield 3 points, or make 7 riding and 2 shield,
just so much riding to use any horse, and with less then 5-6 riding every good horseman witl catch you and kill you, because you are too slow with 3.
And yep i think more fun is better then just pew pew

1 more thing, if you respawn to late, to avoid cav rape at spawn i will just take horse and move fast to other team))

I am going for lvl 32 arbalester. What I can say is if you intend to play strategus (a great source of crpg gold income) you better go for 180 xbow and 9:9 Ath/WM.

Why 180 xbow? Because due to the accuracy nerf last patch 170 is no longer enough to shoot accurately over medium - long distances.

not really, you need atleast 3-4 Horse Archery to have a decent accuracy. Its not worthy for you

i dont want horsexbow lol) it is just for fun -1) fast coming at start somewhere 2) run away 3) when rain use lance and horse

and btw  at lvl 34 i can have 3 horse archery

Perfect "getaway" tactic to quickly run to nearest free mount and ride some distance to those bloodhungry melees. Easy to change positions around battlefield.  Quite nice for slashing as well. No need to be super effective, but it's often lifesaver and something what opponents are rarely prepared for. 5 ps + mace from horseback with around 100 wpf what I used to have was enough for easy kills.
