Nah that mainly was about people getting kicked and banned then trying to get the server disconnected because it wasn't their fault ;)

We do not force servers to unban people.
The only real requirement is that the server is accessible by the community and people can play on it.

So as long as a server is not banning EVERYONE except their clan and friends they can decide who to kick and ban without a reason.

That's what the whole "do whatever they want" was about.

Same goes for some other stuff like disallowing horse archers or enforcing endmatch duels and stuff.

With the amount of servers at the moment people can decide where to play so if they dislike some of those extra rules or being banned they can always play somewhere else.

That freedom does in no way replace any part of the core rules though

It's kind of silly how servers are allowed to ban people without reason, yet have to follow a set of global rules. If that is the case, can't they just ban everyone who complains about their servers not enforcing global rules, and then, with everyone who would report them out of the way, not enforce global rules?

Especially if the first offense isn't a disconnect, in which case, the person who brings the offense to attention of the developers, will get banned, but the server won't be shut down. And if that person is in a clan, then as punishment for tattletaling (the English language has such a terrible word choice for this action), they can ban the entire clan, or friends of the person, or what not. A truly humorous system.

And no, normally this is done by pm or irc so people don't know who reported them.
Also i do check servers with my alts and when people get banned for complaining on servers they come to me so i have an eye on those servers.

For now this system works fine and enforces some basic rules like in this case punishing or at least warning for teamwounding which did not happen.

Also we still have this in case the other stuff fails or we just have a bad day:

We reserve the right to terminate your server's database connection at any time without giving a reason.

Honestly haven is the most fun server to play on NA. (O ya we only have 2 active ones)

Honestly, if you can't deal with everyone messing around and having fun on that server, leave, everyone else is having fun lol. I personally kill every teammate within range every round (ban me plz). Hardly worth making a thread about a couple TWs. Talk to Jesterer, then get Allers to talk to you seriously.

before this BOZO puts words in my mouth i said the tk is allowed when its two friends tking eachother because theyre OK with it. we see all the time 2 people WHO ARE FRIENDS OR CLANMATEs tking because they are obviously in teamspeak/vent and are ok with it. I ddint see any of the other admins doing anything about it so i assumed it correct. I also saw in either old ATS servers or NA servers (Prob NA) they did this too

Our server is the most popular NA server besides the Normal NA_CRPG ones. If people didnt like the server theyd be going to a different one right? They obviously like to play on our server. Weve heard from many people that its theyre favorite server and people like Anders who QQ about everything and want to get admin everywhere need to leave

Today the chaos raided our server and i was the last one. On our server we have a duel rule. It states that when you are the last one and there are 5 or less people left you can force duels. Thats what i did. While i was dueling the flag came up and they all rushed to it. I said in admin chat and in normal chat get away from the flag. Of course they didnt listen. So i finished my duel and then they capped the flag. I kicked them (2 people) because they didnt listen to the admin chat ( i said multiple times). All of chaos instantly leaves the server and i start getting rage PMs particularily by Patrick. Hes raging at me saying im a kid rager because I kicked them for not following rules? He tries to act smart with me by saying it wasnt in the rules. BUT i said in admin chat.

Though the DC was entirely unexpected. I just wanted the offense(if it was, as I said up above, I didn't know if it was) to be recorded for the record.

Skillless spam fest > Ban threads/Unban threads every minute about Team killing/damage
and people griefing with FF.

Dunno if it's hard coded but...maybe your attacks could stop when you would hit through a teammate and thus ''bounce off'' the teammates character. If you understand where i'm going with this. Similar to thrusting your weapon into the ground.

But i'm not sure if it's hard coded or not.
