I'm for this, but the only concern I have is the same others have expressed, that of being Steam compatible and/or it breaking the game for Steam users every time a Warband update is put out until WSE is updated correspondingly.

If this is needed one day to play crpg, maybe someone (not Shawn, Werren, chadz or cmp) could write a short guide that normal people might understand if they study it carefully for about 3 weeks. Thanks in advance.

Don't do it, chadz! My sources have just told me that this is all just a clever ruse that cmpx is using to take over cRPG. He'll sneak in some dirty code and before you know it we'll be bowing before cmpx instead of chadz. And he's a harsh mistress.

Go for it! Even if Steam is not supported initially, getting your Serial # from Steam and downloading the game from taleworlds.com is easy.

It would decrease the player population since some are computer illiterate. Just a note.

Steam is already supported, but I have to remove the ability to connect to VAC servers (and get VAC banned) before its released.
For those concerned about game updates breaking compatibility - as far as I know Warband has reached the end of its patching cycle.

Steam compatibility is a must. Also, you can turn off steam auto-updates, so future versions don't screw things up. I support this.

No hardcoded stuff would mean really nice possibilities.I cant even count the ideas we had on the forums which were awesome but not possible to implement because of "hardcoded stuff".
