Thanks Dynamike but I am not worried about how people appear in this thread, or how entitled they feel they are to certain areas in strat. Neither do I consider it a newbie mistake to lay a claim to unclaimed lands if they so called "bigger" clans are too lazy or slow to post their claims with everyone else. In my opinion, that's their noob mistake, not mine.

I didn't back out just because they contested it, I am simply not stupid enough to war someone over their inability to coherently articulate their intentions. If they feel so entitled they should be more responsible. It doesn't bother me and it doesn't affect my clan's plans much. I claimed land that appeared unclaimed as I'm sure anyone would have done in my position and they
can get fucked if they fail to see that.

We have gone for the same land in all the strategus stuff... I say if you want the land... Fight for it.

I guess the term "honest mistake" isn't known around here.

Let me reiterate; I said nothing about official claims and I did say in my original post that my claims were based on the presumption that no-one else had claimed that land because at the time no-one had. I do not respect the viewpoint of "original claims" because not every clan has gone that way. At the same time I am not going to let some minor error be the catalyst for a war I had no intention of fighting. All this talk of "bigger clans" and "backing down" is just showboating and that is what I take offense to. You assume I need advice simply because I wasn't fully informed, even though that has been addressed. It does not matter if it's my clan, fallen, templols or any other, nobody is going to war in strat by mistake. Size has nothing to do with it. I will choose my enemies and my lands when I see fit.

Thank you all for your input but it was completely redundant.

For while the fire in the heart of a single Remnant still burns... can Stratia truly have fallen?

Personally I am glad, despite being a small clan, they have this attitude. To bad some of the bigger clans don't have the same fighting spirit.

No matter how long you guys cry - I will not give in to dumbing strategus down because some people just want battles. If all you want are battles, then play cRPG, not strat. There are other people who like advanced gameplay.
