Overheating graphics card.

Hello, since WSE was released my graphics card has been behaving odd during playing cRPG. Even with just 20 players on a server my graphics card has been going over 80 celcius and has been crashing. Months ago I used to be able to play cRPG with full server on half fan speed and the GPU wouldn't go oever 64 degrees, now suddenly I'm going over 80 degrees. What's going on? Faulty programming? Devs hacking my computer? Seriously this isn't on. I can't play cRPG with the prospect of killing my graphics card in the process.

Max fps was set to 300 and force vsync is off. I had load textures on demand on though, would that do anything bad?

I seriously don't know why it's behaving like this though, why would I run cRPG fine since last year for it to behave like this after WSE comes out? It's kind of like programmers going into a hornets next and trying to re-construct it with papier mache and glue but fumbling it and sticking everything together so the hornets bottleneck at points in the nest.

Lowered max fps to 100, turned off load textures on demand, GPU hitting about  63c max, with fan on just over half speed.

Still not ideal but playable.

human eye can only detect around 60 FPS. anything over 80 is definitely overkill.

like other poster mentioned, blowing out cards heatsink/fan with canned air is a good idea.  dont blow it out yourself, as human breath has alot of moisture
