I'm with you Beauchamp, I don't know if it's on my side, but the latency is horrible.
Ran about 10 scans with 5 different programs (found nothing), closed everything, optimized the shit out of my network. And still, it jumps around from the normal 50-60, to 180. Weird.

I've been gettig the same thing. I've been trying to isolate whats taking up my bandwidth but even when mnb is the only thing connecting I get mega lag spikes all the time.

Same problem, I am sure it's serverside because my ping is constant ~40 and I still get ocasional lag-spikes (ping doesn't change after the lag-spike).

I have good ping ~50 and pleasant game,but minilags is terrible especially in siege mod when i fight with some1 try hit or run...freeze...die...

Check if you have pando media booster installed if you have it uninstall it that little bastard eats your internet speed.

Else yea there are more frequent lag spikes now my ping is not great like yours people 85-90 is my average but when I get a lag spike it goes on 280 which is impossible to fight (Weapon get stuck,ecc) and the problem is that we no longer need to exit servers to update stat, money, ecc which will obviously make an impact on the ping.

Don't have a solution for that except unless it's already like that make the server updates only at start of rounds not during all round.

BTW, what do you think, could Steam be the culprit? I'm thinking of downloading the non-steam version, and uninstall Steam. I don't like it.

Unless it's downloading you patches steam shouldn't affect ping much.

You can still play warband with steam in offline mode if you desire it.

I keep a constant ping on 40 at school or 60 at home. It happens both places
