MACES and weight , long hafted-1 handed-2 handed

I think its time that blunt weapons were reviewed. Weight, damage, knockdown and crush through should be reviewed.

What effect does weight have on axes some are almost up to 5 weight?

why do we have only three crush through weapons?

why does and extra 1.7 weight grant only 2 or 3 extra damage?

how can there be 2 handed maces that are unbalanced slow and fairly weak without crush through or other significant benefits?

Why is it that the long iron mace(or any other decent 2H) can not be used from horse as it was intended in native?

Im asking seriously please answer seriously. If you want to troll be warned I am cool headed and witty.

I can answer some of these:

Weight is important for all weapons. For one thing, it has an effect on weapon stun. Higher weight weapons have a better chance of weapon stun and avoiding weapon stun.

There are actually 4 crush through weapons and why would we need more? They're primarily support weapons.

Weight is independent of damage and only one of the factors for balancing purposes.

All of the non-crushthrough blunt 2-handers have decent speed and damage. Sure unbalanced makes a weapon harder to use but not impossible. All of the 2-handed axes are unbalanced anyway. It's just a balancing factor for 2-handers.

Don't know why you can't use them on a horse. Maybe a dev will come by and shed some light. Personally, I don't care.

thanks but these issues should be addressed.

for example mace does 30 blunt with 99speed and is balanced(i know its short)

but the long iron mace is far slower and only a little more powerful i suggest it become balanced or do some real damage.

does weight increase the value of a speed bonus?

high weight can make up for low speed on a weapon.
High weight = good in melee due to stunning other people's weapons.

it does not increase damage, no.

Because they do not have enough weight at the end of the lever, or because the weight is distributed throughout the length of the weapon.

look at the long iron mace and tell me the end isnt weighted.

but that is not the point

i think something should be done to bring these weapons on par with swords.

They are not especially good at anything and do less damage than axes.

imo bar mace & long iron mace should lose the unbalanced tag and lose 1 or 2 speed.

It would be a suitable minor buff to usability. Unbalanced when they don't crush through anymore, when the realism argument to remove them was that the weight distribution was balanced >.>

Same thing for Long hafted spiked mace & knobbed : Lose unbalanced tag but also lose 1 or 2 speed.

Come on guys we are not talking about buffing individual weapons although i'm all for it.

I want a bit of balance and maybe a buff for iron staff, LKM's, Maces, Clubs, Hammers, ect.

This is a serious plea to the mods

stfu you know it is not

for a while for many items a sign of it being balanced (accordign to devs) is no one using the weapon

I agree, as long as gold costs are adjusted if they need to be. The bar mace really shouldn't be unbalanced... It only slightly tapers at the hilt. Yes to the usable on horseback suggestion also.
