Remove Shift-Zooming/Crosshairs.

What the hell is a zoom doing in the game?

Did you think about it? What's the explanation, we've all got some binoculars mounted on our helmets that are invisible, or what?

 :D

Also it would be a nice ranged skill-increase, paired up with taking the crosshair away.

Sure, it's alright.

That's why I made the poll like that.

Even though I'd love to see it go, I'm not going to talk shit and lobby around like some people.

with zoom  or not it is possible enough to snipe, without it you just have pain in eyes faster, i love my eyes so no, zoom shoud stay
shooting at people from a reachable place as last man standing is not delaying. Even if you're on the other side of the map.

Sure if you want that crosshair and zoom go out, then there should not be accurancy,it should be always on 100% without spreading ur crosshair which you wont even have if it is deleted ,right ? or if not, then sure delete zoom/crosshair but put a 90% black screen for knights who wear heavy armored helmets...

You clearly never had a real Great Helm on your head.

It doesn't limit vision that much, people always exaggerate on this.

+1 for removing zoom.

Mods compatible with cRPG. New crosshairs, textures, sounds, yay.

As someone who mains infantry I really like the zoom. If I'm coming up on a bunch of guys in the distance I can see who has a bow way before I even get in range. It also lets me see if a far-away archer is pointing at me or someone else.

This. Crosshair can be cheated in too many ways anyway.

As long as there is fucking nighttime in this game the zoom function should stay.

I usually play without it cause it sucks and you are way more accurate without zooming, but when it's night on the server you hardly see people at distance. In that case it is kinda useful.

Taking the crosshair away? o.O
And how do you want us to aim then?
This is not reallife where you can aim with you eye alone and where you have a feeling for your body and bow etc^^

Some people can adjust easier with the environment around him, like that.

I'm one of those people.

so it looks like inf want to make zoom off and ranged to keep it, for inf it does not matter much, for ranged a lot, i think inf just want nerf ranged a bit more  :D

give certain helmets perma-zoom.

incentive to wear light helmets...

edit, actually better idea. All headwear have an additional stat, zoom factor.

I think the same. The main difference being some think it's legitimate and some others don't.

Especially xbows need this as the 1st person view provides a good ironsights, and you shouldn't know precisely how accurate it is, only by gut feeling. It would just take a bit more practice, but good ranged would do just fine. For throwing, the reticule is unnecessary anyway. Only archery would become a tad more difficult. It would even help in those ridiculous 90° camera movement + instafire actions archers and xbow frequently do. Inf don't have reach detectors and cav don't have speedometers, it only makes sense ranged don't have crosshairs. Zoom is totally unrealistic.
