What I would like to see is 20% chance on crushtrough/knockdown/polestun on all weapons and 25% or MW versions of these items.

Right now chance for any of these "features" to occur seems way too high.

giving them a slow block would be fair i guess.  although i am against nerfing.  at the end everything is nerfed down to some indifferent blob : (

I still say mauls should not be able to block.
From the realism point of view, these things weight tons (ok, that is exaggerated, buut they are quite heavy) you can not wave them like sticks.
From the game balance, mauls break blocks,  so they need a similar disadvantage.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you've never used the long maul before. Run around with it for a few hours and think about how it would be if you couldn't block with it.

As it is it's hard enough to block with the damn thing.

Just want this game to have best balance possible. If it's necessary to nerf something then be it.

I understand that some people are retarded enough to like OP things and always play FOTM classes and use FOTM weapons. Guess what, I highly dislike those people.

Works like the other weapons.
Well and it is a support weapon. Anyway, the strike animation needs a fix as well. If they have already released the attack, then they should not be able to change its direction.

I disagree, full str and any crush through is more a disadvantage IMO since you cannot move fast enough to maneuver your short, slow, unbalanced weapon.
Anyone with athletics and who isn't a Zergling should be able to out range/out spam especially easy if you have 0 athletics.

Crush through almost always? I can agree with that though. That's the trade off for not having any athletics to position yourself.

they suck if the mauler is alone but in a group, there's pretty much no way to defend against it

Crushthrough/Knockdown should be 100% effective. I hate random percentages for things to happen. This ain't Everquest. To balance the 100%, there should be a sweetspot for CT/KD on the weapon and that sweet spot should be very very small and/or be required to be a headshot for crushthrough or a leg shot for knockdown.

i imagined someone would bring up me carrying a shield. If it would be for that, i would have made this suggestion a long time ago, but i didn't i waited and while i waited i made out that there are several paradigmas to the game.
One mentioned was "rock paper scissor",

hide behind a shield counter would be in your mind chrushtrough?,
but they also crushtrough other blocks of polearms or 2h.
Also shields have a special counter which is called "shieldbreaker". If that doesnt satisfy you , then take comfort that in 3 of 4 last patches the higher tear shields got ballanced again and again and that not in their favour, if you are still not satisfied with shields well, this is not a thread about shields , is it now?


perhaps there should be seperate skills be in the character development one called "crushtrough" and one called "knockdown". Then only those who skill those can have that effect when they use a weapon capable of it. Invest more skill points, the % gets better.
