Met a cat in the forest today, it was trying to catch a steel worm lying in the middle of the mud road. When I approached it, it started looking at me threatening like "This is my worm human!". Then when I caught the worm for him he ran away into the forest :(

I just noticed how straight and stiff the legs seem to be before the cat lands... I expected it to be different somehow.

They straighten them out but they recoil as soon as they hit the ground, seems pretty similar to parkour people jumping a far distance to the ground, they try to cushion the fall by recoiling their legs and having the force travel up their body (rather than take the brunt of it all in their feet)
