guys i'm getting seriously addicted by this game... like i was of jagged alliance series.
it's what JA3 should be. 3d world, sandbox with main quest, side quests and 2 factions to work for, TONS of guns..

the gameplay is slightly different. there arent action points, but there is a pause system (a la KotOR) but with timescale instead. example, to get a weapon in aiming position, you need say 1.34 seconds depending on stats, weight, balance, merc stats, position, adrenaline level etc...

i don't have much time now to give a long and complete review... i just say GET IT, install the blue sun mod 1.8, play it to death. this blue sun mod is something like a really big mod fixing bugs, adding stuff, quests, mercs...

definately worth a try.

yep! R@S the head modder of BSM balanced a lot of vanilla flaws. i loved a lot of tools... first of all the FN FAL and his L1A1 cousin, the M1 springfield, the Glock 22 .40 S&W, USP match .45, the little M4A1, so many i can't even remember.

i'm replaying it from scratch with Kurt and sniper class selected. i'm still in the random encounter "weapon history" subgame to raise some character levels.

JA mercs as slaves are just a genius feature.. (haywire, razor, dynamo, grumpy. lol...)

played it a lot always trying it again when another BSM version comes out.

also Blue sun mod - http://bluesunmod.webs.com/ is a must have for this :mrgreen:

all i know i can't stop playing... anyway BSM 1.9 will come out really soon... new weapons, broken side quests fix and a lot of new features. i'm still in the weapon history random encounters... half an hour to fill the backpacks with two hundreds of 7.62x51 M80 :D

They ever fix all the bugs? I remember reading a Let's Play (yeah, that long ago) which was hilarious but ended because of a critical save erasing error.

i'm playing it since early september. never had a save erase... but i clean old saves often. had about 2 CTDs after a long session but r@s is working on it.. seems that after a while, if a lot of enemies or mercs fire too much bursts the game COULD crash. but with autosave saving on battle start/end and the friendly F5 key isn't much of an issue.
