This would be interesting but would only further separate the grinders/no-lifers/long time players from newbies or casual players.

this would make chadz easier, because instead of 4 loom points on lvl 31 there would be 1 on 33, so less loomed equipment...

and it would be cool if the 4th lvl  u can rename it as u like..

i really would not want this to be implemented man,its hard enough on the grind as it is but to make it so u HAVE TO DO THIS to be on the same playing field would suck.just getting me mw glaive and then getting trumped by some veteran who has mw everything he loves and is just running around at 33 decides to retire for this -__-

I wouldnt mind this being implemented, 4th loom name could be "legendary" ;D. Bringing a fourth loompoint to my spear would be pretty awesome.

The difference is that only the people which have majority of their stuff at +3 or heavily loomed would even consider this, thus giving them the "room" for more superiority via items.
Noone sane, without 1/2stuff massively loomed would even consider that.

New players will never catch older players unless you stop the progression of older players, at which point they lose interest and leave, and so I guess you can achieve balance through population loss. This is a much better solution. The higher players still progress, but at a much much slower rate compared to newer players. Newer players never catch up 100%, but they can quickly get to 90% of strength and spend the rest of their cRPG career trying to get the remaining 10%.

Sorry, but no. I don't want +4 looms at all, will just make it even shittier to be new at this game. With the current system, even high-gen players can benefit with each new heirloom by getting more equipment to choose from.

If casual players want less separation maybe they should play more. Also new players CAN make a character at gen 1 that CAN compete with the 'no lifers'. I myself have NO loomed weapons at all and yet I manage. They have a mode people can play for those who want no separation and the same starting point every time. It's called native multiplayer.

I do not agree, I play on cRPG because I can customize my build.
