Ban polls

Hey.
Today following happened. A guy initiated a poll to ban me without any reason, and 51% accepted the poll, but I didnt do anything wrong.
So I think, the only reason why I got banned is, because the text, which appeared to accept or not, disturbs everyone and so the most press anything.
So I cant play on this server anymore for a while, and there is no reason why. I think this systems has to be changed.

I rarely see those polls pass.  People usually default to no.  You either got unlucky or are lying about not doing anything.

In either case I think it's only a few hours ban.  It isn't anything permanent and you should be back to playing soon enough.  You could always hop on IRC and ask if an admin is around if you see inappropriate ban polls being cast about on a server.

I have screenshots. He didnt answer what I did, when I asked him why he started the poll.
But thats not my point, I alredy started a topic in the unban section.

My point is, change the system of banpolling generally. No idea how, but the thing we have isnt the best. Thats the reason why I started this topic. We need a new pollsystem...

Yeah, well, xant ban-polled me the other day... I had done nothing to deserve it, yet, x3 gone and me banned banned from eu1.

Yes, finnish people should not be allowed to initiate polls of any sort.

You have to be popular, like me, to not get ban polled. Start working on it.

The populace should not have the power to ban, even for a few hours.   The general population is not responsible enough to use this power wisely.

It is better for several TKers to go un-banned than to have 1 innocent player punished for nothing.

The right for the population to vote-kick shall not be infringed upon.  The power to regulate bans shall remain with the authority of the state.

Ban polls are too often spamming the screen. Pussy Polls I call them.  I think the pussy pollers should be voted off.  I normally hit 2 to get them off the screen.  If the poll starter gives a reason before the poll, I might consider my vote.
I rarely see the polls be successful. 
However I think the kick polls should stay because sometimes there is a dick, so huge, on the server that everyone notices and he gets a well deserved kick.

This is pretty good advice actually, it works for me.

So... drama... I think now might be an ok time for me to start mentioning how polls spring up on EU far more often then NA... I guess we have better behaved players?

Here's an idea: Make kick/ban polls like the QML.  If you start a poll and its rejected, you lose a multiplier.

This can be applied to ban polls only perhaps...I'd like to see it applied to all polls so they aren't spammed.
