I just noticed this subforum. Awesome! The hilarious part is that some people will post their silly "realism" arguments here without realizing that this probably a way to get "realism" out of the balance discussions to a forum which can promptly be ignored and ridiculed.

Also, permadeath is the only realistic way.

That's kind of the point. I pissed off one of the mods so now they feel obligated to marginalize my posts. 80% of voters currently think piking on horseback shouldn't be bannable. Those kinds of numbers scare them.

I would actually play a perma-death character if there was some kind of benefit to it.  Start at lv 15, unlimited gold, but once you die its over.

Actually there should be a game mode like this.  Permadeath!  You must create a special character just for this game mode.  You keep your money and equipment but whenever you die, you are reset back to level 1.

Making it to level 20 would be like Godmode.  Every time you go there the majority of the server will be peasants flailing at each other with clubs, and like one guy in chainmail that everyone is trying to kill.

If you get "valor", you don't get reset.

special duel server with new chars. every kill makes you advance one level. when you die, you're back to 0. sounds like fun
