Why not just make it possible to change your main character? With a cooldown of 1 month.
That would give all your alts access to both the marketplace and strategus.

I think that is the best solution by far and I don't see why it wouldn't be possible technically.

i think that would compromise the "hero" -system this mod wants to create,  i.e.  every player has one hero, through whom he is known.
this knave/slave whatever thingy however would put the alts into a context with the whole system.

Wow, this is the best suggestion I've heard for a lot of the main and alt problems. I really hope the dev teams takes a look at it

I want there to be an internal structure between the main and alts within an account... So the account itself would have a certain play style. A simple example would be customizing to maximize the power of your main, vs maximizing the power of your alts.

This is exploitable, you could just switch your main for some strat battles, make money with him or loom something, than switch to different one...IF the switch would kill the main, no problem, but Devs made it quite clear you should only have one char for strat, if you want to play different role, respec (i know it hurts, but that is why it got implemented, to offer versatility).

What i would not mind is the idea of shared goldpile...getting annoying that i cannot upkeep my alt while my main is quite fine, i cannot sell looms from alt to make money for upkeep (still yet to retire on alt :P). One way item transfer is imho also not a good idea, i mean, what else could that be used for than for looming your main. You make gen on alt, loom item, main takes over, one loom without need to actually retire your char or to pay for it, that is not cool.

I foresee people saying: but we invest time to alts, why the benefits should not be shared? If you want benefit on char, do it on him, or buy it for him.

Anyways, idea of some sort connection inbetween account characters is cool. I would totally love to see shared gold, i would not even mind if alt grinded money some small amount would go to strat to your main (but again, really tiny amount, do not make alts on same lvl as mains, as people would have no reason to play main). Again, i might seem a bit negative, but just spitting out my thoughts.   :)

And for the one way transfer, if, why not to make it the other way around? Like, you know, main to alt works, but not the other way around. With this you would prevent the possibility of equipping alt with looms, as they would be stuck with them forever, but also you could equip your alt without him actually having any money at all :)

What came to my mind while typing this: IF the dev team would liek to somehow prevent exploitations on strat, why not to make a new char class: Strat, so you would have main, alt, strat char, if the gold was shared, no problem with the strat char not having anything to wear or stuff :)

What I like:

-the alt gets the nametag (main+)sknave = Tychow_Torbensknave

-the main may rape the alts wife (+1 syphilis) - +1  :D



What I really don't like:


-the tenth shal goeth to the main (gold) - lots of people with money probs will get gold and those who are already rich get even more --> people can buy heirlooms over heirlooms

-any item the alt/knave buys has to be paid by the main - I have sooo many items with my alt, because I want to play 2h or 1h+shield instead of archery with an alt. I couldn't buy all that stuff with my main due to the higher upkeep for archery now :/

-the knave can not buy the highest tear weapons and armor. this would make high end loomes more special,  as only mains can loom them.  i like this in particular  -  Actually I like to walk around in plate sometimes with my alt. I saved alot of money for that purpose and you want to forbid that? It's actually some people's only chance to use plate once in their life ;)

-1x of gold the knave makes gets subtracted from the main  -  isn't that opposite to what you wrote before?  The main gets gold from the knave but the knave also gets gold from the main?  And by the way I need all the money I get with my main as I'd like to buy some looms when I have money (which will never happen due to the heavy arrowupkeep, thx for that devs...)
