[STATS] Make Ashwood Pike Better (Sheathable, Knockdown, Speed)

The ashwood pike, basically a worse version of the awlpike (at the same difficulty), doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities. I will say that it is the most damaging (31 pierce) of the anti-cavalry polearms, but at a severe range cost. The 166 range is quite low to be a anti-cavalry weapon, especially since even the lance weapons (Light/Heavy Lance) are all longer than it.

I propose giving it some more utility on the battlefield, either as anti-infantry by adding knockdown, better anti-cavalry by adding a point or two of speed, or simply making it sheathable, like the awlpike, which is only 1 unit shorter. In any of these cases, reducing base thrust damage by 1-2 would be a fair trade off.

A speed boost would probably make it a little bit more usefull, but i still dont think any1 will ever use this weapon

Hoplites with awlpikes look ugly. Ashwood pike should be made into hoplite's main weapon of choice.

There are other topics about the ashwood, and the best option seen so far was to give it the ability to be used with a shield and +3 speed (making it 93 speed)

It would be a correct stylish hoplite spear. And useful finally.

I am using Ashwood Pike, i think making is sheatable is best choice. It is great support weapon, let us sheath it to do well in alone fights too! ;)

actually our spearman think its a terrible support weapon, but a great KILLING weapon.  The problem is its not long enough to be used as support.  Increasing speed would help it keep the repuation as a killing weapon and not support....granted thats kinda opposite of what you think when you hear 'pike'

I use it as my cheap deadly 2H pike option (support mainly, less anti cav). When I pull out my 1H+shield it auto drops to the ground and I am ready to fight. If you make it useable with a shield, then to use it 2H I will have to hang the shield - when I pull out the 1H to duel I will have to manually pull out the shield, which means too much time to be an effective "drop and go melee". Hoplites should use spears. The 150 reach ones are excellent.

weapon is not anything remotely close to a support weapon with the exception of using to overhead ppl when working with a piker.
2h swords have same reach with their thrusts as you do with this weapon.

Speed it up, reduce dmg by a bit and make it usable with shield but unshealthable
