http://digitalgamedeals.com/battlefield-3-vpn-proxy-trick-play-bf3-now-or-wait/

How to unlock Battlefield 3 early on the PC:
1. Search Windows for “proxy”
2. Click “configure proxy server”
3. Click “LAN settings”
4. Check “use a proxy server for LAN”
5. Input this IP: 203.232.208.116 (or 210.107.100.251)
6. Input this port: 8080
7. Run the release date check by launching Battlefield 3 on Origin
8. If the release date check fails, click “retry”
9. Once it succeeds, disable the proxy
10. Enjoy playing Battlefield 3!

I did it yesterday - it works.

thats interesting but i'll probably just delete my pirated games, less hassle. or stick them on a usb drive. anyway about this origin stuff notch sums it up nicely:

Quote
While I think some serious competition to Steam is a good thing for everyone involved, especially the customers, I’m a bit skeptical of Origin. That said, I’d GLADLY start using it just to be able to play Battlefield 3.
Heck, I’d gladly gnaw my own feet off to be able to play Battlefield 3.

Id rather not have to use origin, i'd rather not have to use battlelog, i'd rather not have to use windows to play games too. but while those things are annoying they are not life threating like you would think by how much this shit is being blown out of proportion. I mean the comparison to slavery on the bit of theat Nditions thread, seriously? people are fucking retarded.

Well, he just said it's not illegal. By saying they don't "advise" it they're just saying "if you're stupid enough to screw something up, we take no responsibility."

WOOOOHOOOOO! SCREW YOU EA!
VMega. You are a wonderful person.

I tested this quickly before going to bed and it appears (don't hold me to that), that it does indeed isolate EA's spies.
