Hello there dear crpg community, since chadz has announced his new balance method i wanted to try it myself, so here goes: (for details refer to this thread:

These are my reasons why this change should be introduced:

I have been playing a thrower build extensively (8 pt 140 wpf in throwing with 4 stacks of heavy throwing axes) for the past 5 days and have come to the conclusion that with the new armor soak values, increased ammount of cav recently and the innacuracy of these weapons the combined damadge output just isnt enough.

There could be an option to buff the damadge of the throwing axes (since it is cut damadge even with high pt it doesent do so much damadge to armoured opponents, it does however do nice damadge to unarmored targets like archers) but i personaly like the versatility more ammo would bring. I also think that if the damadge is buffed more people will complain about one shots on these axes.

So in a pro/con situation i would say that the pros are:

- more ammo to deal with cav (what throwers should realy be doing)

cons:

- more shit flying around  :mrgreen:

I am to believe throwing was already buffed.

Also with the amount they give you it is enough, unless your a incompetent fool and wasting throws.
I have a character with 5 throwing with heavy throwing axes. I didnt put any WPF in throwing cos it was STF failed spec but i still hardly miss. Just dont throw long shots.

hmmmm these weapons seem already pretty balanced, javelins have what like low 30's pierce which makes them better vs armour but not so great vs peasants or horses than these throwing axes. Each has their appropriate pros and cons. If you were gonna raise throwing axe ammo I'd say raise javelin ammo also, but I really think both are fine at 3 ammo.

Take 2 stacks of throwing axes, a medium shield and a 1h and you are a nicely balanced and flexible build with 6 throwing axes. that should be enough ammo to down 2-3 horses or finish off fleeing opponents, and as a horseman I'd say very few good horsemen will get caught out by throwing weapons unless they are pressed into a charge, its more of a deterrant, if a cavalry player sees you holding up a throwing axe and looking at them they will leave you alone, you don't need 8 throwing axes for this purpose :P

I would say reduce ammo of throwing spears though, as they are currently at 4 :S this is off topic however...

My answer no, because throwing axes are a perfectly viable and balanced weapon with 3 ammo, with 4 ammo they would be a little too strong for the game.

Well i agree this. Throwing is very hard to hit unless you try one first, so one gone there're 2 more left, FROM MY OPINION that's not enough     so i say make it 4 =) all though i'm pure shielder

Throwing doesnt require you to test the water with your first throw :P It just involves knowing how that throwing weapon will fly and for how long. If you have a decent amount of wpf in throwing its not that hard to hit a target at medium range (say 80wpf)

as mutch as i loved it.
NO, would just make throwers OP.
in my gen of throwing i learned that it requieres practise and aim to once u got it that 12 throwin axes wil get u alot of kills.
