My first memories of Strategus - it was fun until everyone realised archer spam was the best way and then most sieges were just 3 hours of being shot by arrows.

Aww I miss Jesus, he could always pull a whole team together (or half most times) to actual team play hehe, this was before clans formed and I remember him as one of the better field commanders.

Who can forget the pike formations and shield walls of the old days ^^

We should ask devs if they can upload the old forums somewhere, for nostalgia's sake. Gnjus talking about Vincenzo made me want to read the old confession thread and the drama/lols that ensued.

Warband was released on 30.03.2010 and cRPG came out like a month and a half up to two months later, somewhere during May or June i think.

I started playing crpg the next week it went public..I think in mid June 2010?

Have to edit this. Yes Warband was released 30.3.2010.

Ah yes i got it. "duh" chadz comment was referring to Native community.
I should not type from memory, especially when talking about the other peoples comments.

Side note: I would recommend reading from taleworlds forum, the topic: Native is Dying?
chadz defend/explains he's mod there, against people blaming cRPG (of all the bad in the world).
Intresting view's to the donkeys "psyche" and why cRPG saw the light of day, and maybe where it is heading.

And more suprising note, that means i was there at the "dawn".

Never realized that the mod was fresh out of the oven when i started.

Well it was being tested by the irc:// crew during May, I think. Including other acquaintances of them.

So yeah, mid June sounds about right!

I think it was more end mai beginn of june. My first sreenshots are from june 2010, but i have downloaded the mod a bit earlier but i could not find any servers.
Maybe one or two weeks later i have found a fix for that on the taleworlds board.

my first pic is from 18:38 CET, June 10th 2010, but that was right after the .34 patch, so it was a bit before that we started out i think.
but i have an vague memory from that time, had exams and stuff to do and didn't take to much note of things, so not sure if version .34 was the first official or if we started out earlier.

Heh, I can remember having 1.127 but i'm not 100% sure that was my first version since I remember deleting a few before that, although that's not a dead cert since i've only just deleted version 1.127 off my computer because it was clogging up my "mods" folder

Ah well, i'm sure i'm not as old to this game as some people, I know I missed a full reset but caught the second one afaik or something like that anyways, I didn't play it much in the beginning, just as a time killer before I decided it was actually a very good mod.

@TEnene: I had 2 folders one called CRPG and the other CRPG 1127. If I'm right, the CRPG was the original folder. Every new update was a deleting of the old folder/replace with new on like from CRPG to CRPG 1127. When I took the pics, CMP wasn't a dev then.

yeh, just looked at release info for warband: Release 16.04.2009 (http://www.krawall.de/web/Mount_+_Blade_Warband/gameinfo/)
so yeh, crpg should be much older than june 2010.
also pretty sure i played before that, just didn't know how to take pics back then ^^ EDIT. probably alpha mod release...
hmmm... taleworld says something different, crap, me iz confused

but yeh, like Anders says we had to rename our folders each time a patch came out at that time, man that was annoying ^^
