Stop the hate on light armour! If you can get +7 armour on black armour and make it that much more retarded... then I want to be able to get +7 on my gambeson to make it a little bit less useless!

I must agree. I'm used to hitting targets with high armour values so archers wearing 50-55 BA wouldn't bother me one bit. But they (archers) will hate it cause their duels would last a lot longer. Also Xbowmy old friends will hate that the most, they are used one hitting archers, take that away from those cowards

well... it seems, that light armor is designed to be fast, not maximum protection.
Perhaps, when looming armors, they should have a slight decrease in weight? Light armor loses more weight than heavy armor when loomed would be kewl.

You mean the like this (bolded part):

I like how normal armors are balanced but when it comes to heirloomed armor and effect armor weight have on players I would like to write down some suggestions:

- heavier armor should slow down much more than how it is atm
- heavier armor should get more defense bonus than medium armor
- heavier armor should cost more

***

Idea 1:

Heirlooming bonuses for armor (light, medium, heavy):

G     L/M/H
-------------
x1 - 1/1/2
x2 - 1/2/3
x3 - 2/3/3

∑  - 4/6/8

***

Idea 2:

To be honest I would like to see same percentage bonus to defense for all armor, by 5% per heirloom point (15% total) but I'm not sure that's doable. Also that would make heirlooming light armor a bit pointless so maybe you could make armor lose weight by heirlooming (0.5 kg per heirloom point). I would like to see that because the main point of using light armor is mobility achieved by less weight. Also would like to see the same for heavy armor. Medium armor should just get defense bonus because it's balanced.

Example 1:

4.5 kg armor, 28/12 defense, normal
4.0 kg armor, 29/13 defense, x1
3.5 kg armor, 31/13 defense, x2
3.0 kg armor, 32/14 defense, x3

Example 2:

14.5 kg armor, 44/10 defense, normal
14.5 kg armor, 46/10 defense, x1
14.5 kg armor, 48/11 defense, x2
14.5 kg armor, 51/11 defense, x3

Example 3:

25.0 kg armor, 56/20 defense, normal
24.5 kg armor, 59/21 defense, x1
24.0 kg armor, 62/22 defense, x2
23.5 kg armor, 64/23 defense, x3

My idea of light, medium, heavy body armor is: less than 5 kg, 5-15 kg, 15+ kg.

I'm not sure is that how you differentiate armor.

I would like to see same formula going for helmets, gloves and boots. Just differentiate light, medium, heavy and you're good to go. If weight hits 0 it stays there. It would really make heavier, lighter body armor popular, same as it would benefit gloves, boots and helmets. Medium armor wouldn't be the most desirable armor piece anymore as it's now the case.

Sadly, Paul has a personal grudge against me :(

Dont nerf heavy armor even more than it already is, the added survivability barely makes up for the lack of mobility.

I like the idea of a slight weight decrease and armor boost when looming light armor.

Just make every armor gain the same +7 for three heirlooms. Right now it's inconsistent for light armors, which isn't fair to the archers/ninjas. i.e. Light Leather gets +7, studded only gets +4.

Also, please add some more light armors and something between studded and lamellar. I personally wear heavy(ish) armor now, but feel for the folks looming their light armor.

That's not your armor, that's your strenght crutch build with no athletic.

I fought goretooth in his black armor in his current 9 ATH build and I couldn't shake him off in my 9 ath build with red tunic.

And he kills me in my ''crutch'' strenght build about 2 duels out of 3.

As usual, go fuck yourself, if I crutch on my build, so do you, you jump around facehug, abusing the living shit out of the hitslash

And I have 3 athlethics.

Uh, not sure who you're referring to, I very very rarely to never jump around, I dance outside of people's reach much much more than I facehug, and I've used the hilt slash probably twice in the last month.

Who are you mistaking me for?

If anything you should say that to Cyranule, last duel I had with him he hiltslashed me 3 times in a row and got pissed when I said he was just boring to fight.

If Light armor got the same bonuses through heirlooming that heavier armors did I'd jump on trying to heirloom the pilgrim's robe(Jedi robe)

So a big +1 from me

I remember a quote of you about how you bested me in duel by entering the place where I cant see your hits in first person, and thats pretty much at face hug range.

man after the soak reduce change(also they made armor randomly more unpredictable) heavy armor is not nearly what u think it is, it sounds like u never wear it from what you're saying leshma, or else you'd know it doesn't make a gigantic difference

oh yea best thing for studded leather is some awesome gauntlets, doesn't add much weight but can add alot of armor.

Badasses in studded leather can destroy the entire server due to not losing wpp(under 7.5 KG total weight) and being able to use more of their athletics, walts research and walt's playstyle(and many others, like myself) have proven this can be done in light armor

its a non issue, I would like a buff to the looms, but don't start saying we need more of an armor nerf than we already have(we just had a huge heavy armor nerf btw< are u paying attention?)

Well I did suggest buff for both light and heavy armor, cause right now everyone wears medium armor...
