I think both are fine as it is, the Katana does 1 more cut damage and is 3 points faster than the longsword. In turn, it's short and light.

If you would increase length you had to decrease damage.
I dont think some people would like it as katana just got a buff.

Katana overall model length is about 120cm. The measurement of the reach attribute starts at the forward part of the hilt and ends at the point.

The whole point with the katana is its short range. Don't make it another longsword clone. It's a whole different style.

Would make sense, I have an arming sword IRL, the blade is about a meter long (100 cm) and the reach of most 1 handed sword rolls around 95-100 units of reach.

I see the low weight of the katana as an advantage. Carrying a 1h/2h weapon with 1.3 weight makes you faster than a 1h/2h weapon with 2 weight. As a ninja with a miaodao I experienced getting outrun by my fellow ninjas with katanas.
