What I like about 1h is the range of weapons to choose from. So many viable, different weapons. Unlike 2h where you have two clearly superior choices, that don't really have any practical difference.

All this "cry cry cry" scimitar has ghost reach is a load of bullshit.
Sure, the sword registers earlier in the animation due to it being curved, but we're talking less than 20ms here.
There is no "extra" invisible range to the scimitar, it's just a a bunch of dumb players who misunderstood the so called ghost reach.

On topic; I'd use the Elite Scimitar over the normal one due to the damage difference. You need every point of damage you can get as a 1hander, if you are to stand a chance against heavy armor targets.

i been a shielder now for 12 gens. a mw elite scimtar is insane. its only 34 cut but hits like a godamn truck, if you really wanna piss people off go with a warhammer.

I'd choose elite over regular one, +1 damage and +3 length really matters, scimitar has +1 speed rating but other stats compensate it.

Depends on your playstyle, if you're a feinter then using swords with thrust is risky, sometimes you do the thrust by mistake instead of overhead or left/right swing, unprepared thrust (without let's call it "side thrust" or giving it some speed with movement) in most of the cases ends with you getting hitted after your sword bounced off the target. From my own experience I know that elite scimi is a bitch to block becouse of its model, so it's just another reason to use it over the others.
