They are repeating one "combo" all the time and their swords look like if they were cut from a sheet of tin.
They are doing it all wrong...
Sorry but this is a bunch of amateurs dont look on this as fencing. There are lots of such groups. They buy some armor and weapons,
practice some battle scenes and then they perform them on medieval events or castles.

Yeah, more than half of those moves only work in choreographed fights. Any kind of opposition would quickly disarm you if you did this in a real duel.

hmmm... those "scenes" are from fighting manuals which described special moves (meisterhauven) or "if my opponent do this what's the best solution to win? and than if he does this, and this...". it looks a bit like stop animation, but it is just for pedagogic purposes.

At last someone who can differ fencing from acting
I posted about one group that does Kunst des Fechtens on old taleworlds forums somewhere. I have some friends doing it and by coincidence it is too a Slovak group. As far as i know there are some groups in Germany, Poland and Hungary too which do this fencing. I might dig the link up if you want to see it

i was fighting instructor of one reenactment group before i retired (i. e. got whole bunch of children, and such things). however, their present instructor is so much better than me. we're both no professionals, but he went abroad to take one test and he passed it.
