I'd love to see some historical battles like agincourt or the battle of the golden spurs (Flemish pwesants PWNING French knights in 1302, litterally translated from Dutch, so prolly has another name in English)
note: mud that slows cavalry: slightly rough terrain that slows horses and infantry, althoug infantry significantly less that the horses.
Agincourt:
muddy field that French team consisting of knights, footknights (2h, polearms and some 1h) and very few XBow must cross, while English lines consisting of longbowmen and mainly polearm infantry (polearm and some 1h as generals bodyguard) and 1 very expierienced archer leading the volkleys, and other archers just have to adjust to his angle.
Gulden spurs battle:
river with very much mud, French infantry charges into Flemish lines, fighting in the muddy river, where lightly armoured Flemish farmers with goedendags can move faster and medium retainers of the flemish aswell, compared to heavy french infa. French cav gets impatient and charges in, trampling the French infantry, and getting slaughtered in the mud.
Legends say the Flemish were losing slightly, untill the "golden knight" appeared and helped defeating the French, entirely clad in golden plate armour (how he got outta that muddy mess is a mystery)
