So to come back on the first comment I made, the Battle I was talking about is the Battle of Arsuf, which was won by the Crusaders under the command of Richard the Lionheart.

And so I say onething RICHARD LIONHEART IS L33T in so many levels... but not in stronghold crusader, noo in that game he's a asshole!

He can't build walls in that game, seriously.

In two games in a row, he left big holes in the walls, and my Assassins quickly killed him both times.
 8-)

He was a good leader IRL though,

What the hell is a Star Fort? Anyhow.....

I've heard some rumors though i clearly doubt them that the ''Teutonics Knights Order'' was active at the last crusades in the Holy Land. Just a load of crap right? As far as i know they just wanted to make the crap countries to the east abandon their pagan bullshit and accept christianity with catholicism

The Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem, the full name of what is commonly the called The Teutonic Knights, like almost all of the crusader knights orders it was set up to aid those on their travels to the holy land, making great profit for the members of the order.

Becoming wealthy and powerful its leader was asked by the pope to assist in purging heresy from Poland and the east of Europe, with terrifying results.

in answer to your question, yes they were involved in the crusades, acting as mercenaries and as holy warriors, the same as nearly every single knightly order in Europe was involved.

I've seen it =) :P

And i've also watched some History Channel documentaries as well.
Also read The Oxford Illustrated History of the Crusades.

There needs to be a fully historically accuracte game in First Person View covering the Holy Crusades 1-3 with some real nasty graphics and perhaps using Frostbite 2 engine :P

Most of the games covering the holy crusades are so unrealistic it's just painful to play them.

Either it's some sci fi story or i'm almost drowning by the amount of magic that's being thrown at me lol.

Would've been great if we could play through as a Saracen and either a Templars Knight or a French/English knight looking to capture Jerusalem.
