Hey guys, yesterday i was bored so i wrote a few guidelines for admins on EU1, tell me what you think of it!
They could also be used on wolves server because wolves are definitely the worst admins ever...

GENERAL RULE: LE ROYAL "KICK-KICK-BAN AVAA HAKAS"

.VERY OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE OR RACISM TOWARDS OTHER PLAYERS (admins included), WILL RESULT IN A 24H BAN WITHOUT PRELIMINARY KICK OR WARNING.
.FOR ALL OTHER OFFENSES ADMINS WILL KICK. HOWEVER, THREE CONSECUTIVE OFFENSES WILL RESULT IN A 24H BAN AFTER A PINK WARNING IN PINK CAPITAL LETTERS AT THE SECOND KICK.
.VERY EXCESSIVE OR OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOR AFTER THE FIRST KICK, HOWEVER, WILL RESULT IN A 24H BAN WITHOUT SECOND KICK AND WITHOUT PINK WARNING IN PINK CAPITAL LETTERS.
.ADMINS WILL ALWAYS USE THE KICK-KICK-24H.BAN AVAA HAKAS ROYAL SYSTEM, NO OTHER METHOD IS ALLOWED!

No unban request on forum, except for very particular cases such as bans longer than 24H or devs catching evil cheaterz.
(Some particular cases for longer bans can be made in case of repeated 24H bans, serious insults/racist words, cheating...
However, those will NEVER be treated on server, they must be reported in admin irc and decisions taken there by more than one admin, have fun with that one)




LE ROYAL KICK-KICK-BAN AVAA HAKAS' GUIDELINES FOR EU1:


When you kick players be sure it is necesary to do so, not because of the rules only, be flexible that way.

Refrain from using pink text when you don't really need to, pink text should be rare or people will miss important messages.
Most kicks don't require pink text, only give the reason in the kick message.
However, it is required of you to warn the player with pink text in capital pink letters, after or better just before the second kick, that the third offense will trigger a 24HBAN!

Offenses towards other players, players breaking rules:
.Insults and racism: some words are clearly offensive, even when the guy doesnt really mean to be offensive. Always kick twice before 24H ban unless very offensive language is used.
.TK/TW/glitching/leeching/delaying/pike on horse/unreachable when last/blocking doors with const. sites/swapping weapons in duel serv and so on...: always kick twice before 24H ban, unless a player comes back and starts teamwounding/insulting everybody right after being kicked.
.Be consistent and give everyone the same treatment.

Offenses towards you:
.Be softer  on insults/teamhits directed to you and always react with calm without insulting/teamhiting back, you must give a good example and prove admins are not above other players.
.Do not kick a player who teamhits you once, even intentionally or without saying sorry, you're an admin now, deal with it!
.If someones trolls you and you're loosing control, if you start raging for any reason, ONE THING TO DO AND ONE THING ONLY: GTX NOW! Come back when you feel calm and don't bear any grudge.
.Only kick for repeated intentional teamhits and for offensive insults.

Never believe banning away clusters of players will make it easier for you, by reducing the number of trolls.
Bad admin behavior has a far more negative impact on the group than some bad players in it.
The more you misbehave, not treating everyone equally or being too harsh, the more the players will test your limits and look for trouble.
Setting clear fair rules and stick to them is the only way to make your task easier.

EXAMPLES OF WARNINGS:
.YOU ARE KICKED FOR THE SECOND TIME TODAY FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON: ... , NEXT OFFENSE WILL RESULT IN A 24H BAN, SRY.
.OFFENSIVE INSULTS AND RACISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, YOU ARE BANNED FOR 24H, SRY.
.YOU ARE CLEARLY OUT OF CONTROL NOW, IT SEEMS KICKING YOU MADE IT WORST, NOTHING PERSONAL MATE BUT I MUST BAN YOU FOR 24H SO OTHER PLAYERS CAN ENJOY THEIR GAME, SRY.



MOAR GUIDELINES (for troll admins only):


Do not kick the chat trolls unless they offended someone or used very offensive vocabulary.
Do not kick too much for tk/tw that is often by accident (tw by players training at start), or is meant as a joke and won't affect the team's multi (tk at round end).
Ask for explanations sometimes, make sure the guy who was tk/tw doesn't care, then kick is not necesary.

However, if the guys doesn't know his attacker and seems pissed off, then kick the offender, in the name of justice.
Kick a player who does tk/tw more than once and you are sure its on purpose, such evil you will not bear.
Also kick when players are fed up with someone's tk/tw and ask for a kick, because it is what you are here for, you are a slave now.
And one day, two guys will start insulting/attacking each other, there will be no drama because you will kick them both before they start being annoying.
You won't listen and judge, because you will have a headache like everyday now. You will kick both saying you hope they cool down before coming back, you fucking hero.
And don't use pink text like a crying girl everytime the last guys are unreachable, just kick them right away, reason: camping unreachable spot at round end and boring everyone!

Just keep singing kick-kick-ban avaa hakas and you'll be fine since you won't remember who you kicked 5mn ago anyway.
And remember, a kick is like a gamecrash or a lost connection, one click and you're back in, so who cares?

Sincerely, i believe you should get it back at some point, I told you i voted for removal, but only to send a message to all admins, not to punish you. I have never witnessed you looking down on players or insult them or expect them to lick your arse (except in the "not so necesary" multiple unban requests), I don't even remember you being arrogant. What i remember is far too much long term bans, almost never a kick  and no clear rules for admins (but many for players). Pink text and 300days bans all over, lots of players pissed off, I was fed up with it mate. It wasn't only you. As I told you, some players wanted you to remain admin because you were the most active's, but that was the main reason for me and others to vote against it.

I feel bad and stupid about it now, because it ain't so fair you had to pay for everyone, plus it was a total fail, which I could have expected if I knew better. No message has gone through man, i see a guy giving a 10mn ban for leeching and a few days later same admin banning 7 days for leeching, i suppose it ain't so bad i remember higher numbers, but still admins are far from being consistent atm.
So me and others hurt your feelings for nothing because we thought it would make admins understand they should be softer, but everyone now believes it was personal grief, while it wasn't.
I already talked to you about it, just saying again i'm sorry and i'm not proud it had to be this way.

Im still not sure what the message you guys wanted to send was.
-You voted yes on an admin that almost always warned first, often several times, and used a lot of spectating time to make sure the right decision was made.
-Who unbanned people 0-3 days after unban request was made (where the banned could tell us that he understood why he was banned).
-This was on a nomination where several clans was trying to use their amount of members to tell the admins that they wanted special threatment.
-This was not supported by any attempts to discuss bans or admin rules in general chat or anywhere else.
-You removed the only admin who had actually made such a thread in the general forum (which showed the community was split 50/50 on if an obious intentional TKer should be banned without warning), and adjusted my administration to (nearly) always giving 1-5 warnings before ban.

By this you did send the message that listening to the community is a failure. I don't think this was the intention. I think that explains why your message wasnt recieved.

Sorry man, really didn't mean to get you pissed off there, my bad man really.
In my honest opinion, 99% of the bans I witnessed did not require any rules reading and clarifications. The guys knows he's doing wrong when he does it. There's no need to make sure he understands why, since as you said the guy was even warned. I took this permanent ban-unbanrequest game like something more twisted, and I didn't like what came in my mind when looking for the real reasons behind that dark spot in admin's behavior.
But you are right mate, i probably should have get involved then, maybe that's why i'm doing it now, maybe it's a bit late...

and man believe me, again it's nothing personal, i voted against the only admin i could vote against, the only nominated admin ever in my playtime.
Really the murmi story i didn't follow, didn't read the forum drama. I know I should have, he was angry at me for not taking part and not picking a side and now he got mad and left. Really man, please believe me, its not personal, i was not informed of your doings in forum, only in game, since i was playing all day.

I apologise if I sound pissed off. I just don't understand the way this message was sent. But a tip to your first post, maybe you should make a shorter, less wall of tekst-post, with well written arguments, and make it clear what you wanna change.

I think the main reason the ban until unban post survived this long is because it work. I noticed a huge difference after we started doing it, people who got 3 days off, often came back to do the same over, but after the head admins changed the rules to ban until unban post, the banned rarely got banned again.
The sad part, which made me doubt the system, is that several people never make such a post.

You know mate maybe i shouldn't get involved in this any further, i miss the references since I haven't been playing this game for long enough.
I just spoke for myself anyway, I just felt no clear rules applied on admins really, only proof I had is that admin's behavior was not consistent.
And I may be in a minority group here, but I am against the constant ban-unbanrequest system, I feel it should be kept for very serious offenses.
Anyway man, you know my guidelines were meant as a joke really, I dunno why I went all emotional when you posted, my bad man.
