strat troop upkeep got increased, now making it harder to field large armys.

They indeed did. The enemies where rather sexually abusive. If only they focused more on the battles, they would have not lost so many man in them :(

A lot of things have been happening since your where gone Ripper, if u want info on whats happening in strat look to the North and you will find your answer.

But since the wipe of gold and equipment i don't think there will be many battles any time soon.

Haven lost almost 500 troops to a bunch of naked, unarmed farmers.

EDIT: Alright, well, the first 3 kills by ManofWar's fists of titanium got us some weapons; which turned into lots, and lots of weapons.
