Constant Troop bleed when battle locked.

Blondekhan attacked me last night, as I went out to meet enemy forces en route to our territories. What I was not aware of was the fact that you CONTINUE TO BLEED TROOPS AND MONEY IN UPKEEP EVEN WHILE WAITING TO DO BATTLE. Is this by design or simply a bug? Also, is there a set rate for how many you lose per hour?

Its not a bug. If you do not have enough gold in your inventory to pay upkeep your troops will die hourly until you do (or until they all dead).

And you wonder why nobody likes you and always hunts you down in battle, espowned.

And yeah, SPQR, i'm aware of that, but considering that your character is completely locked down while waiting for a battle, is it by design for things like upkeep costs to still take effect? That seems sorta silly.

I'm just laughing because it was a stupid move, not a bug.

Yes its by design.  Need to plan ahead and usually leave a buffer of gold with any player carrying around a significant number of your clan's troops.   Upkeep is 1 gold per troop per day.  Good rule of thumb - try to have 3x as much as needed as you never know what could hppen (attacked again right after a battle, etc.)

I'd be willing to bet that you weren't aware of it either, knowing you. You ought to go back to the diplomacy thread, since being childish and petty is pretty well accepted in there.

Yeah I don't think any of us was aware of the fact that you could still lose troops even when locked in battle mode. We just assumed it meant that your character was frozen until after the battle. We'll know better next time, thanks!
