How about: If you loom a master work item for the fourth time at lvl 33 it transfers the item from your "cRPG" character to your "Strat" character. Your character would then gain access to the transferred masterwork item in strat battles but lose it for cRPG. This would make the cRPG environment less hostile to new players, and keeps the old players, especially strat oriented players, grinding away. This wouldn't break strat because very few players could invest the time to carry over a lot of master work items.
